Megoldás: Az állítás n=0 esetén igaz, hiszen 2+1 osztható 3-mal. Tegyük fel, hogy az állítást valamely n természetes számra már igazoltuk, mely szerint 23n=3n+1t-1 írható egy alkalmas t egész számmal. Ekkor

2^{3^{n+1}}+1=\bigl(2^{3^n}\bigr)^3+1=
3^{3n+3}t^3-3\cdot 3^{2n+2}t^2+3\cdot 3^{n+1}t

osztható 3n+2-nel, alkalmazhatjuk tehát a teljes indukció elvét.
