C. 820. Let 0 $\le$ a,b,c,d $\le$ 2005 be whole numbers. What is the probability that the number ab+cd is even?

Megoldás: Egy 0 és 2005 közé eső egész szám 1/2 valószínűséggel páros, és 1/2 valószínűséggel páratlan. Annak valószínűsége, hogy két ilyen szám szorzata páratlan, ${1\over2}\cdot{1\over2}={1\over4}$ . Annak valószínűsége, hogy a szorzat páros, $1-{1\over4}={3\over4}$ .

P(ab+cd páros)=P(ab és cd is páros)+P(ab és cd is páratlan)= ${9\over16}+{1\over16}={10\over16}$ .
