Megoldás: Több lehetőség van.

1.) AB=1, BC=4, CD=8, vagyis két szemközti oldal hosszúsága 1 és 8. Jelölje AD hosszát x. Ekkor a derékszögű háromszögek miatt 12+82=42+x2, amiből x=7.

2.) A szemközti oldalak az 1 és a 4: 12+42=82+x2, ez nem lehetséges.

3.) A szemközti oldalak a 4 és a 8: 42+82=12+x2, ekkor x=\sqrt{79}.
