C. 923. The lengths of the parallel sides of a cyclic trapezium are a=10, c=15, the radius of the circumscribed circle is r=10. What may be the length of the legs? What is the area of the trapezium?

Megoldás. Két ilyen trapéz is van. Az egyik tartalmazza a kör középpontját, a másik nem.

Az adatok alaján \gamma=60o, hiszen egyenlő oldalú háromszög egyik szöge.

Felírható még, hogy \sin\frac{\alpha}{2}=\frac{7,5}{10}=0,75, amiből \alpha/2\approx48,59o és \alpha\approx97,18o.

Ebből kiszámoljuk \beta-t: \beta=\frac{97,18^{\circ}-60^{\circ}}{2}=18,59^{\circ}.

Ezt felhasználva: \sin\frac{\beta}{2}=\frac{x/2}{10}=x/20 miatt x_1=20\sin\frac{18,59}{2}=3,23.

Ekkor \alpha és \gamma ugyannyi, mint az előbb, csak \beta lesz más:

\beta=\frac{360^{\circ}-97,18^{\circ}-60^{\circ}}{2}\approx101,41^{\circ}.

Innen \sin(\beta/2)=\frac{x/2}{10}=x/20 miatt x2=20sin (101,41o/2)\approx15,48.
