Problem K. 218. (October 2009)

K. 218. A rectangle is divided into smaller rectangles with lines parallel to its sides. The distance of the dividing lines varies (not shown by the diagram). The numbers written in some rectangles show their areas. What is the area of the rectangle marked y?

Megoldás. A 2009. szeptemberi K. 213 szerint legyenek a sorok \(\displaystyle i\), \(\displaystyle ii\), ... Ekkor \(\displaystyle 52/39=4/3\) miatt \(\displaystyle s_{II}=4x\), \(\displaystyle s_{III}=3x\). Ezért \(\displaystyle t_{iv,III}=20\cdot3/4=15\). Innen \(\displaystyle s_{V}=6x\). Másrészről a \(\displaystyle IV\) oszlopban \(\displaystyle 20/40=1/2\) miatt \(\displaystyle m_{i}=a\) és \(\displaystyle m_{v}=2a\), tehát \(\displaystyle t_{v, III}=6\cdot2=12\).
