Megoldás. Az eredeti háromszög kerülete 17,6 cm. A másik háromszög kerülete ennek annyiszorosa, amennyi a hasonlóság aránya. Három eset van, mivel a 15,4 cm-es oldal három oldalnak felelhet meg. Ha a 4,4 cm-es oldalnak felel meg, akkor a kerület \(\displaystyle \frac{15,4}{4,4}\cdot 17,6=61,6~\rm{cm}\). Ha az 5,5 cm-es oldalnak felel meg, akkor a kerület \(\displaystyle \frac{15,4}{5,5}\cdot 17,6=49,28~\rm{cm}\). Ha a 7,7 cm-es oldalnak felel meg, akkor a kerület \(\displaystyle \frac{15,4}{7,7}\cdot 17,6=35,2~\rm{cm}\).
