K. 59. A circular table is put into the corner of a room. The diagram shows the table from above. The diameter of the tabletop is 170 cm. A certain point of the edge of the table is at a distance of 10 cm from one of the walls. Calculate its distance from the other wall.

Megoldás: A P pont két helyen is lehet az asztallap szélén. Az ábrán feltüntettük a megadott távolságokat cm-ben. Az ábra alapján a Pitagorasz-tételből x2=852-752=1600, tehát x=40 cm. A P1 pont távolsága a másik faltól 85-40=45 cm, a P2 pont távolsága a másik faltól 85+40=125 cm.
