Problem B. 5118. (October 2020)

Megoldás. Tegyük fel, hogy \(\displaystyle y:=\frac{14x+5}{9}\) és \(\displaystyle z:=\frac{17x-5}{12}\) egész számok. Ekkor \(\displaystyle 4z-3y\) is egész kell legyen:

\(\displaystyle 4z-3y=\frac{17x-5}{3}-\frac{14x+5}{3}=\frac{3x-10}{3}=x-\frac{10}{3}.\)

Mivel \(\displaystyle \frac{10}{3}\) nem egész, ezért ekkor \(\displaystyle x\) nem lehet egész.

Tehát a három szám nem lehet egyszerre egész.
