# Problem G. 646. (October 2018)

G. 646. In a chemistry laboratory chemicals are stored in alike bottles. One is full of glycerine, and the other is full of ether. The mass of the bottle filled with glycerine is 2290 grams, and that of the other bottle with ether in it has a mass of 1471 grams. What is the mass of an empty bottle?

Megoldás. Az üres üveg tömegét $\displaystyle m_0$-lal, az üveg (belső) térfogatát $\displaystyle V$-vel jelölve fennáll, hogy

$\displaystyle m_0+\varrho_\text{glicerin}V=2{,}290~\rm kg,$

$\displaystyle m_0+\varrho_\text{éter}V=1{,}471~\rm kg.$

Mivel $\displaystyle \varrho_\text{glicerin}=1260~\rm kg/m^3$ és $\displaystyle \varrho_\text{éter}=714~\rm kg/m^3$, a fenti egyenletek (pl. azokat kivonva egymásból) $\displaystyle V=1500~\rm cm^3$ és $\displaystyle m_0=0{,}400~\rm kg$ adódik.
