Problem G. 906. (December 2025)
G. 906. The density of salt water is \(\displaystyle 1025~\mathrm{kg}/\mathrm{m}^3\), while that of fresh water is \(\displaystyle 1000~\mathrm{kg}/\mathrm{m}^3\).
a) How does the buoyant force exerted on a ship change when the ship leaves the river mouth and sails out into the open sea?
b) Calculate how many kilograms of salt are contained in \(\displaystyle 1~\mathrm{m}^3\) of seawater, given that the density of sea salt is \(\displaystyle 2200~\mathrm{kg}/\mathrm{m}^3\). Assume that mixing salt and water does not cause any change in volume.

Megoldás. a) Nem változik, mert úszáskor a felhajtóerő nagysága egyenlő a testre ható nehézségi erő nagyságával, ami változatlan.
b) \(\displaystyle 1\,\mathrm{m^3}\) tengervíz tömege 1025 kg. Ez a tömeg \(\displaystyle x\) köbméter \(\displaystyle 1000\,\mathrm{kg/m^3}\) sűrűségű vízből és \(\displaystyle 1-x\) köbméter \(\displaystyle 2200\,\mathrm{kg/m^3}\) sűrűségű sóból keletkezhetett. Ezt az egyenletet írhatjuk fel mértékegységek nélkül:
\(\displaystyle 1025=1000x+2200(1-x),\)
amiből \(\displaystyle x=0,979\). Tehát \(\displaystyle 1\,\mathrm{m^3}\) tengervízben 979 kg víz van, továbbá 46 kg só.
