Megoldás. A háromjegyű szám \(\displaystyle N=\overline{abc}\), akkor a feladat szerint \(\displaystyle \overline{abc}=7\overline{ac}\), azaz \(\displaystyle N\) 7-tel osztható, másrészről legfeljebb \(\displaystyle 7\cdot 99=693\), azaz \(\displaystyle a\le 6\), így \(\displaystyle N\le 7\cdot 69=483\). Innen \(\displaystyle a\le 4\), azaz \(\displaystyle N\le 7\cdot 49=343\). Tehát \(\displaystyle a\le 3\), így \(\displaystyle n\le 7\cdot 39=273\), ezért \(\displaystyle a\le 2\) és \(\displaystyle N\le 7\cdot 29=203\). Ha \(\displaystyle a=2\), akkor \(\displaystyle N=203\) lehet csak, mert nálánál kisebb, de 199-nél nagyobb, 7-tel osztható szám nincs, de \(\displaystyle 203\ne 7\cdot 23\).
