Megoldás. Ha a négyzet oldala 1 egység, akkor a nagy négyzet területe 5 egység, így az oldala \(\displaystyle \sqrt{5}\) egység hosszú. Az első ábrán 5 vágással, a másodikon 4 vágással oldottuk meg a feladatot.
