Megoldás. A \(\displaystyle t\) vastagságú üveglemez felületére majdnem merőlegesen haladó fénysugarak a levegőbe kilépve úgy haladnak tovább, mintha az üveg felületétől \(\displaystyle k=t/n=1~\)cm távol lévő pontból indultak volna; itt keletkezik tehát a szemcse látszólagos (virtuális) képe.
