Problem P. 5080. (December 2018)
P. 5080. By what percent does the average speed of the molecules of a sample of gas increase when the temperature of the gas is increased from \(\displaystyle 27\;{}^\circ\)C to \(\displaystyle 159\;{}^\circ\)C, if the gas is
\(\displaystyle a)\) helium;
\(\displaystyle b)\) hydrogen?

Megoldás. A molekulák átlagsebessége az abszolút hőmérséklet négyzetgyökével arányos. Így – mindkét gáznál –
\(\displaystyle \frac{v_2}{v_1}=\sqrt{\frac{T_2}{T_1}}=\sqrt{\frac{432}{300}}=1{,}2,\)
vagyis a növekedés 20%-os.
