B. 4204. a, b, c, d are four positive numbers. Five of the products ab, ac, ad, bc, bd, cd are known: they are 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6. What is the value of the sixth product?

Megoldás. A 6 szorzatot 3 párba állíthatjuk úgy, hogy az egy párba tartozó számok szorzata ugyanannyi, hiszen \(\displaystyle (ab)(cd)=(ac)(bd)=(ad)(bc)=abcd\). A megadott 5 szám között két ilyen pár is szerepel. Az \(\displaystyle abcd\) szorzat tehát 5-tel nem osztható egész szám. Ez csak úgy lehet, ha az 5 párja nem szerepel a megadott számok között, \(\displaystyle (abcd)^2\) pedig a másik négy szám szorzata. Innen \(\displaystyle abcd=12\), a hatodik szorzat értéke pedig az 5 hiányzó párja, ami \(\displaystyle abcd/5=12/5\).
