B. 5074. Find all positive integers \(\displaystyle n\) and distinct (positive) primes \(\displaystyle p\), \(\displaystyle q\), \(\displaystyle r\) for which
\(\displaystyle \frac1{pq}+\frac1{pr^3}+\frac1{qr^2}=\frac1n. \)

Megoldás. Az egyenletet szorozzuk be \(\displaystyle npqr^3\)-nal:
\(\displaystyle n(r^3+pr+q)=pqr^3.\)
A bal oldalon szereplő \(\displaystyle r^3+pr+q\) tényező nem osztható az \(\displaystyle r\) prímmel, hiszen \(\displaystyle r\mid r^3+pr\), de \(\displaystyle r\nmid q\), mert \(\displaystyle r\ne q\). Így \(\displaystyle r^3\mid n\), hiszen az egyenlet jobb oldala osztható \(\displaystyle r^3\)-nal. Legyen \(\displaystyle n=r^3n'\), ahol \(\displaystyle n'\) is pozitív egész. Leosztva \(\displaystyle r^3\)-nal:
\(\displaystyle n'(r^3+pr+q)=pq.\)
Mivel \(\displaystyle \max(p,q)<r^3+pr+q\), ezért csak \(\displaystyle r^3+pq+q=pq\) lehet, és így \(\displaystyle n'=1\).
Az \(\displaystyle r^3+pr+q=pq\) egyenlet mindkét oldalához \(\displaystyle r\)-et adva és megfelelően rendezve a jobb oldal szorzattá alakítható az alábbi módon:

Ha \(\displaystyle p,q,r\) mindegyike páratlan lenne, akkor a jobb oldalon két páros szám szorzata állna, vagyis \(\displaystyle 4\mid r^3+r=r(r^2+1)\) következne. Azonban \(\displaystyle r\) páratlan, \(\displaystyle r^2+1\) szám 4-es maradéka pedig 2 (hiszen páratlan szám négyzete 4-gyel osztva 1 maradékot ad). Ez az ellentmondás mutatja, hogy \(\displaystyle p,q,r\) között páros számnak is kell lenne, ami csak a 2 lehet, hiszen \(\displaystyle p,q,r\) pozitív prímek. Mivel \(\displaystyle r^3+r\) és \(\displaystyle p-1\) pozitívak, ezért \(\displaystyle 0<q-r\) alapján \(\displaystyle r<q\). Továbbá \(\displaystyle r\mid r^3+r=(q-r)(p-1)\) alapján \(\displaystyle r\mid q-r\) vagy \(\displaystyle r\mid p-1\). Mivel \(\displaystyle r\nmid q\), ezért csak \(\displaystyle r\mid p-1\) lehet, amiből \(\displaystyle r<q\). Tehát \(\displaystyle p,q,r\) közül \(\displaystyle r\) a legkisebb és így \(\displaystyle r=2\).
A kapott egyenlet:
\(\displaystyle 10=(q-2)(p-1).\)

Ha \(\displaystyle p-1=2\), akkor \(\displaystyle q-2=5\), ekkor \(\displaystyle p=3,q=7\) valóban prímek. Ha pedig \(\displaystyle p-1=10\), akkor \(\displaystyle q-2=1\), ekkor \(\displaystyle p=11,q=3\) szintén prímek.
Tehát egyetlen olyan \(\displaystyle n\) érték van, amire léteznek megfelelő \(\displaystyle p,q,r\) prímek: \(\displaystyle n(=r^3)=2^3=8\), és ekkor a \(\displaystyle (p,q,r)=(3,7,2)\) és a \(\displaystyle (p,q,r)=(11,3,2)\) hármasok megfelelők.
